Thoughts in Bookstore
LOVE what life tells you not to LOVE
and you will LOVE what you aren't supposed
to be LOVING.

Within Reach
'THE SKY IS THE LIMIT!'
But wait, we're still stuck to the surface of the earth...reaching for the sky.
*LIMITS: A point or level beyond which something does not or may not extend or pass.
It is true, we as humans have limits. Limits of time, money, friends, energy, and so on. Will we ever grow tall enough to reach the sky with extended arms?
Our Creator is LIMITLESS. He does not know of a limited life as we do. Yet, since He is our LIMITLESS CREATOR, I believe we are born to push the envelope and become better people for it. There is something so appealing and altogether inspiring about the endurance athlete. I am not talking about your next door neighbor who runs in order to fit into her skimpy red dress. No, quite the contrary. I am talking about the athlete who rises early to enjoy God's creation on foot for an extended duration of time. There is something spiritually awakening about these moments with the Creator of the world and man. HE COMES ALIVE.
Life is an EXPLORATION THROUGH TIME. Look outside, friends. Take a run, cruise a bike, or talk to your neighbors and think about your awesome God-breathed life. I have found my days are more enjoyable when I rest for a second, and remind my soul and mind that God has created me to ENJOY LIFE.
Heaven awaits, but I pray God keeps me on this earth until He calls me homeward.
IT'S TIME TO THRIVE...NOW!

Simplified // Inflamed
SIMPLIFIED
Knots, turns, groans--deathly moans; complexity has a hold.
Hope, peace, joy reign in heart and mind of the simple as it's told.
Life, days, moments, hours--so many thoughts to think.
Simplicity veiled in a complex uniform of ugly control.
Mind over the matter, thoughts thrown as knives and daggers shatter complexity
Cycle is broken--breathe.
INFLAMED
Unrestrained heat surges--engulfs--the corridors of simple minds.
Innocent bones glazed--grasped--by inward fists.
Twisting tighter and tighter till feelings feel nothing.
Pills dull--dumb-down--intelligent agent of the enemy,
yet some sourly remain.
Peace.
Joints fluidly glide back to original intention.
The simple mind intakes, digests inflamed thoughts.

Uprising
As I have experienced times of pain, confusion, and times of natural and spiritual hungering over the past year, God has been with me through each event. I find it humorous how we as humans--especially Christians and those who have a relationship with God--think we know what is always best for ourselves. Being a Christian myself, I understand God created me for a distinct purpose. He already knows the ins and outs of my journey. That is quite amazing to me.
Recently, though, my relationship with God has felt routine. ( *ROUTINE= a regular course of procedure // Merriam Webster )
Times of refreshing are coming... He is close at hand, not some distant, mute, manmade idol.
Those who know God as God are rising up all over the earth...

Liberation for the Soul...
"My (Paul) counsel is this: Live freely, animated and motivated by God's Spirit."
--Galations 005//16
"But what happens when we live God's way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard--things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people."
--Galations 005//22-23

To live free is to die...to ourselves. I like myself. I like the things I do and am able to do. Yet, all the talents, dreams, and passions I know have been given to me by God...especially when I am following His way. I love how often humans are compared to trees in the Bible. Think how often you see trees on any given day. Trees are strong, beautiful, art pieces. We too are designed to be mighty trees in the world. God is with us. Let the seeds within begin to bloom by surrendering to the Harvester. His rain is so good.
